Curtis has been coaching at Next Generation CrossFit since 2017. Previous to his CrossFit career, he was a collegiate baseball player at Oklahoma Baptist University. During his time at Oklahoma Baptist, he became an NCCAA National Champion.
Curtis has always been enthusiastic about fitness, and he has pursued it throughout his life (as it goes hand-in-hand with being an athlete). During his time as an athlete, Curtis has been able to work with many instructors who are also passionate about the process of functional fitness. Each one has influenced Curtis and helped him develop his philosophy on fitness. Curtis believes that fitness should be functional, and that technique is very important.
“I enjoy the community that CrossFit provides. CrossFit is a sport, so it embodies that encouraging community that comes with other sports, which is something that isn’t experienced with merely going to a gym. I love seeing our clients excel and achieve their goals.”
